The mission of LCARI is to promote and advance the general welfare and interests of the members of the Liberian Community of Rhode Island, especially, and also the Rhode Island and American communities at large; with an overriding focus on promoting the Liberian and African cultures. The primary objectives of LCARI are to:
Assist Liberians with adjustments to life in the United States of America.
Ensure that Liberians residing in RI understand and take advantage of the legal, educational, and social opportunities available to them, as well as honor their civic, legal and fiduciary responsibilities to the state and country.
Promote the Liberian and African cultures and traditional heritage, and
Help Liberians become a self-sustaining force in America and at home.
